Arrive at Brooklodge, Macreddin, Co. Wicklow at 11am

The chefs and resident forager at Brooklodge will give a talk on wild food in Ireland, illustrated by photographs and samples, and use examples from their own wild food pantry to show the many ways of preserving and preparing forarged foods. Each family will be given an illustrated guide to local wild foods, and send off on a Wild Treasure Hunt with the challenge of finding and identifying them all. There may even be a prize or two for successful teams.

Task completed, you can wander back to the artisan food market along the 'Macreddin Village' street to enjoy an array of organic foods to enjoy on the spot or take away, and spit-roast pig or organic burgers for lunch.

The charge for the foraging talk and walk is €5 per adult. Children are free.
