Education
Euro-toques believes that chefs have a role in educating and informing the public and promoting quality food wherever possible. In addition we have a duty, as laid out in the Euro-toques Code of Honour, to keep chefs informed about food quality and we extend this to providing education and development for both professional and trainee chefs. Finally e must inform the relevant authorities in order to bring about policy which supports our goals of promoting quality food production and protecting culinary heritage and tradition.
Euro-toques Ireland aims to inform and influence policy-makers and government on specific issues through its lobbying activities and participation in various industry/stakeholder bodies, consultations etc. We hope to educate the public through media interaction and events, and directly through the work of our members.
For more information on the above see EVENTS and specific policy areas ACTIVITIES/Policy.
We also have specific educational initiatives aimed at children and at chefs themselves.
